R&M are pleased to announce that Tim Coomer (R&M Group Finance Director) has been named as one of the region’s top 10 performing FDs after a nomination process involving managing directors, colleagues and the professional community.

Tim joined R&M in May 2013 as Group Financial Controller. He has built on the strong foundations and disciplines installed by William, whilst introducing new initiatives, cost savings, operational improvements and reporting enhancements. Consequently, in April 2014, Tim became Group Finance Director and now ensures the continued growth and financial security of the Group. As a qualified Chartered Accountant, Tim enjoyed a successful career in practice prior to being poached by a client. This led to a 20 year term working for a major UK Distributor of Data Networking Products. During this time Tim became a very experienced FD steering the business through many stages of growth and challenge.

BDO is partnering with CMA Recruitment Group to discover what it takes to be a successful finance director and to identify the most talented and high-achieving among those working in privately owned companies based in the Central South.

The top ten FDs will now be interviewed before three finalists are selected. The Central South Mid Market FD of the Year will then be announced at a gala dinner on 22 February 2018.
