The tenth annual Solent 250 Awards Ceremony took place this week at the Harbour Hotel in Southampton. The Solent 250 is an annual ranking (compiled by The Business Magazine) celebrating the top privately-owned businesses headquartered in the Solent region, by annual sales turnover.

R&M Electrical Group was named the winner of the International Business of the Year Award 2024, which was sponsored by HSBC UK. This award recognises businesses from the ranking that have exhibited exceptional international performance in the last 12 months by:

• growing export sales (entering new regions or significantly increasing revenue in existing markets), or
• establishing operations in new territories, or
• taking a proactive approach to business activities in response to the changing global economic and geopolitical landscape.

Neil Barker, our Projects Division Manager, and Kevin Daglish, our Commercial Director attended the event and accepted the award on behalf of R&M Electrical Group.

Kevin, says, “I’ve witnessed first-hand R&M’s fantastic international growth over the years. A major portion of our revenue comes from overseas activities, so receiving this award is a great accolade for our teams here in the Solent region and at our numerous international locations.”
